About The Othersiders |
|
The Othersiders Country Western Dance Club, organized in 1994,
is all about people who like to socialize around country western
music and dancing without discrimination or bias.
We have get-togethers, parties, dinners, dances, camping trips, and other outings. We work together as we travel to hoedowns, rodeos, gay pride events, charity fund-raisers, and any other activities we find attractive. The official purpose of The Othersiders Country Western Dance Club is "to promote country western dancing activities and music to all persons without regard to age, gender or gender identity, religion, national or cultural origin, sexual orientation, disability or HIV status. The club features a Dance Team that performs in exhibitions and competitions, locally, nationally, and internationally. We have hosted the Saltwater Hoedown annually since 1997 with plans for many more. Our hoedowns include dance workshops and competitions, with many opportunities for members to volunteer their services. Beginning in 1997, we have hosted:
And we are already making plans for some exciting future events. There's plenty to do for everyone, and new members are welcome! Would you be interested in joining us? We have online and offline membership applications.
